1. Who we are

The Asian Venous Forum ("AVF", "we", "our") is a dedicated venous forum within the Asian Society of Vascular Surgery (ASVS). We bring together clinicians from across Asia for education, research and collaboration in venous care. This policy applies to this website and to the information you send us through it.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us, for example when you apply for membership or contact the Secretary:

• Contact details: your name, email address and, if you provide it, your phone number.
• Professional details: your country, institution and specialty, where you include them in an application or message.
• Your message: anything else you write to us.

The names, countries and email addresses of office bearers and council members shown on the Leadership page are published with their knowledge as part of their role in the Forum.

3. How we use it

• To reply to your enquiries.
• To process and keep records of membership applications.
• To share news about council activities and Forum meetings, including upcoming annual meetings, with members and applicants.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Who can see it

Your information is seen by the Forum's office bearers and council members only as far as needed to handle your request, for example the Secretary reviewing a membership application. We share it with others only if you ask us to, or if the law requires it.

5. Keeping it safe and how long we keep it

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us from loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above, or as long as you remain a member, and then delete it.

6. Your choices

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can ask us to stop sending you Forum news at any time. Email the Secretary using the details below and we will respond as soon as we can.
